Briefly about the choir

The Russian Choir is an a cappella choir. It sings unaccompanied music from the Russian repertoire. The choir is based in Glasgow, Scotland, and is sponsored by Stow College. To find out about the origins of the choir, click background

Diary Dates for 2008-2009 season

Two dates have been set for December 2008 and January 2009 in Govan, and a return to St Giles in Edinburgh in March 2009. Details below:

• Sunday 14 December : Christmas Concert, Govan Old Parish Church (at 6.00 p.m.)
• Tuesday 6 January 2009 : Orthodox Christmas Concert in Govan New Parish Church (at 6.00p.m.)
• Sunday 15 March 2009 : Sunday at Six, St Giles' Cathedral, Edinburgh (at 6.00 p.m.)

• Concert for Russian delegates visiting East Renfrewshire Council (19 September) with NEW pictures!!
• Singing Workshop (City Halls, Saturday 4 October) in conjunction with BBC Education.
• Recital in Kelvingrove Art Gallery, Glasgow (19 October)

New Webmaster

This website will be maintained by a new webmaster from December 2008. Many thanks to all those who have followed the Russian Choir through this website up till now. It has been an enjoyable challenge to maintain it.
